War and Peace
We find wars in our words,
wars in our minds, more words
the more we are divided.
We find no peace in olive branch,
or in dove or in white flag--
sure we find it within us.
As truce is a mirage,
a mere shadow or white lie,
peace could be in our conscience.
We shall pray to our each God,
not alone, but in amity, for sanity
in the unity of our conscience.
